7-25-07 The Race

Conditions: A few clouds and less than 1 foot seas
Fish Caught: None

Headed out to the race in great seas and weather.
Flat calm seas and very little chop in the race.
We marked fish and bait but couldn't get them to hit anything.
Other boat were live lining porgies, snapping wire, ect. without any luck.
We tried diamond jigs, buck-tails, eels and trolled umbrella rigs without on hit.
I believe they were focusing in on a specific species of bait, and we didn't have it.
We did see a few fish breaking surface but they wouldn't take a plug.
